Ben Rau
Ben has been playing drums/percussion for many years throughout the capital district region. When he is not playing with Joanne‘s Driving the Bus, you can find him playing with a host of other bands and musicians in the area notably: Soul Provider band, (soulproviderband.com), the Georgie Wonders Orchestra (Georgiewondersband.com), RK Jazz and Blues (rkjazzandblues.com) and various other musical groups. Ben is a member of the Albany musicians union local #14 and takes part in many union sponsored events.
He enjoys playing in Pit Orchestra’s for local high school productions and the Playhouse Stage Co whenever the need arises. You may also find him marching with The Red Caps marching band or strolling with the extremely funky Brass O’ Mania.
Always open to new musical experiences, Ben thoroughly enjoys sharing the stage with Joanne’s Driving the Bus and looks forward to seeing you at one of our many bus stops along the way!
